Many cut flowers can last up to a week or longer with proper care
• Unpack the flowers immediately you receive them
• Cut off the ends of the stem at a 45-degree angle in order to expose as much surface area as possible for taking water.
• Leaves should be removed from stems that will be under water as foliage breeds bacteria and algae that kill a flower more quickly.
• Put the flowers into a clean vase
• Use only clean, cold water.
• Add flower food.
• Change the water in the vase every 5 days at the most and recut the stems every time.
